New cousy

My new cousy

Do you remember when you had a new cousin? Well I do It was the 19th of January my Aunty rung up and said she had just gone into labour. That was very exciting for us all.

First my Nan quickly got ready. Well she already was she just needed to grab her bag of clothes and things that she needed right on the end of her bed.

But guess what I did not go because my Mum brother and I were all the way In hamilton. It was very sad but we went to see her straight after we left hamilton. But It was good because we left the next day.

As soon as we got to the hospital my nan was already there. My Aunty was already very tired and it did not help that she didn't like her room.

I did not get hold My cousin till Maybe the 3rd day. But that was alright Because she was still a bit angry and tired. I really wanted to because she was so cute.

So that is something I did with my family. And Now she is six weeks old and I hold her all the time. I love her so so much.I think it was one of the best as well.

It was christmas time Roxy the dog lived in a family that loved him very much. On christmas there was one present that he adored most of all. And that was a pink and white stuffed bear.

He kept it for many years as it got older it began to lose colour. One day the stuffed bear got ripped. Straight down the middle. Roxy was heartbroken.

The owners heard Roxy yelping and saw her staring at the stuffed bear. Roxy and her owners went on a long walk tring to find the special  stuffed bear that had been with him for most of his life.

Then in the window was the stuffed bear that he had loved. But it was brand new the colour was there it was clean. They bought it for Roxy.

Then when she got home she rushed in excitement and leaped onto the couch and stayed cuddling it all night. And loved it for longer than her first one. And the owners did not have to buy her one ever again.

Family plan if earthquake

Family plan if earthquake

  1. First I would run under the coffee table because it is the strongest. After I would make sure my family was alright.

2. For water we are quite lucky because we have a clean stream. And a filter and tap to clean the water and get the water out of the river. But we would still keep it on about 1 or 2 liters a day.

3. For food I would probably get some out of the pantry and put it in a bag. And share it all around so we can survive. I would save things like fruit ,snacks and sandwiches

4.If our house was broken we would go to one of the sheds because it has got blankets and stuff like that.

5.
To contact people  would wait for a bit and then call to see if they were alright. Otherwise we might not be able to get hold of them because to many people would be trying to call people.

1.6 liters of water to cover 6 people.

2. And also a torch

3.Blankets and maybe blow up beds.

4.Canned for such as spaghetti, baked beans , canned fruit, Biscuits, chips

5.First aid kit

So that would be our family plan if their did happen to be an earthquake. and I think that would help our family to survive. And stay clear from getting hurt

Football

Football

Football It is a sport played worldwide by many people. It is a sport that a lot of people love to play for clubs and just street play.

It can be quite an easy game to play if you persevere and try your best to play fair and play to the rules. Because then you will be able to play nice football.

Rules:
  1. No touching the ball with your hands.
  2. And also you are not allowed to hurt people.

It is a game between 2 teams off 11. The aim is to get the ball to the other side and then try and score it into the goal. But it can be tricky to get it past the goalkeeper.

And that is basically everything you need to know about football it is a great game and I think if you dont play you should start.

My reflection for this term

My reflection from this term.

My reflection for this term was alright. But I needed to be more focused on what I was doing and not get distracted easily. Like if someone talked to me I would be easily distracted.

Learning wise was pretty good I did not set an test for this term. But I also learnt a lot in all subjects this term especially maths and reading.

The highlight of this term would be sports camp. It was a great experience for me and I would love to go back. Mainly because it was fun. Also to meet new people.

That was my reflection for this term. That was how well I did and what were my highlights for the term as well. And I will try and do better next term.

Tapa Cloth

Tapa Cloth 1446581917669.1.jpg

My class and I went to Te Tuhi Art Gallery. We got to have a look around the place but best of all we got to make tapa cloth. The aim was trying to reflect on our culture and things that are special to us and also tell others a little bit about ourselves.

My first one was about what was important to me and that is education as I want to be successful academically.

The next one which is the number 7, it means that there are seven people that are really special to me like friends and family.  Instead of drawing all of them I decided to put it in number form.

Thirdly the four stars reflects my culture which is New Zealand that’s why I drew  the 4 southern stars, like you may have seen on our flag.

Lastly the ball that looks like a tennis ball. It wasn't actually meant to be a tennis ball. It was honestly meant to be a football. Football is the sport I love doing and will always do.

Those are the 4 things that reflect on my culture and things that are special to me. I hope that told you a little bit about myself.

Our HAIKU

We have been learning how to create a HAIKU poem with three lines. The first line must have 5 syllables. The second must have 7 syllables. And the third should have 5 syllables. But the catch is this poem does not have to rhyme. First we had to come up with a noun to write about. Then we had to come up with at least three adjectives which we will use in our HAIKU. It was very frustrating for myself because I could not come up with one for the first half an hour. But then it just came to me. Now I am relieved it is over. YAY
