In this game you had to answer ten questions in a time frame but if you move up a level you could do one more question. My score was seven out of ten. Including the calculator the star is where I worked on the medium level. I thought it was tricky because I haven’t learnt them all yet but I was doing pretty well. Next time I would like to do more examples on the medium level.
I am a Year 6 student at Glen Innes School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 10 and my teacher is Mrs Tu'akoi.

In this game we were learning about fractions and decimals. you have to get the fraction right and then go through the right decimal. I found this easy because I was good at getting the fractions correct because I know my fractions. Next I would like to learn how to convert fractions to decimals. I reached level 4 but this was level three. And it was to hard to screenshot.

Nets
This is a pyramid that I made I found it hard and easy. I found it hard because I could not follow what the teacher was saying and have never used a compass before. But my teacher helped me so it was easier to do. First you had to plan it then you had to draw it with a compass. Then you had to cut it out and construct it.

Picture
picture
I learned to use scale to enlarge my drawing. I used a scale of 1 cm to represent 3 cm. This means that my drawing was 3 times bigger. The task was too hard because because I could not do all the details. I need more practice on this task so I can get better with the details. Next I would like to learn how to make the picture smaller so I can do big and smal. l

Whangarei
My holiday
It started off as a normal weekend, just walking down the beach and all of a sudden my mum’s phone buzzed like a bee. She had just got a text message saying,’ we are going to Whangarei ‘
So we ran home excitedly. I was pumped to see the glory of Whangarei. When we got home, I got my stuff ready as quick as a leopard. My mum said we were leaving in about an hour. BUT it turned out we did not leave until 7.30pm.
As soon as we woke in the morning , it was a phenomenal day. So we ran across the road to the beach to play some outstanding football. And we did for the first ten minutes and then it started to pour down it was heavier than sacks filled with rocks. I was bummed that we could not play.
We ran inside to get dry because we were soaked. Then we watched a movie called Madagascar 3 Europe’s most wanted. Even though I have seen it before but it is a great movie. My favorite part is when the plane crashes in the jungle where Alex’s family is.
Later we went to get some food but instead of food I got some delicious lollies. I got a bag of lollies and my mum and my brother had zombie chews. We were slowly eating our lollies on the long walk and of course on they way back there was torrential rain.
So although the weather was bad we all had a fantastic time. I would love to go again in SUMMER when it is not raining.

Soccer
How to play soccer?
Soccer is a game played all around the world. It is every day sport in Brazil , Spain and Germany they will be playing it all day and every day. Soccer is played with goals and a round ball.
The rules in soccer are, you can not tackle the player with your hands , you can not touch the ball with your hands unless you are the keeper. You can not slide tackle with your studs up. If you get two yellow cards you going to be sent off. Or a red card is just straight off. You can not pull people’s shirt or you will be sent off. Those are all the basics that you need to know.
First you start off with the ball in the center of the field with the ball on the floor. Then you pass the ball to the person beside you when the whistle blows. You have to try and score a goal by passing to your teammates so that your team can shot and maybe score. There is a keeper that will stand in the goal box and try save the ball with his hands or feet. The keeper can catch the ball or hit it out of the box with his hands.
Next if the ball goes out of play like on the sideline then it is a throw in for the opposite team. You can not take your feet off the ground when you throw the ball. Also it has to be an overarm throw or it gets handed over to the other team. Also if you kick it out where you are defending then they get a corner kick. So you put it on the corner and try and get it into the box so your team can score.
So that is how to play soccer/football I think it is a great game to play. I think you should play this outstanding game.

Basic facts
W.A.L.T play a fraction game.
This game is about adding the denominator and then writing the numerator altogether. I found it tricky because the timer goes really fast. I would like to do a geometry one of these next time. And also get faster to beat the clock.
Shapes
W.A.L.T- learn my shapes on a game
This game is all about geometry. Because all you are doing is recognizing the shapes. I found it easy because I knew all the shapes. I really like this game and I would like to do it again and again to get faster at it, and a bit better. Next I would like to learn angles.

Division game
WALT: find how many sets
In this game you have to find out how many carts you will need to fill all the gems. This game helps me learn my division facts properly. My strategy is to use the numbers they give then see how many 10s are in 50 or what ever question they give you. I found it quite easy because it is basicly multiplication facts reversed. Next I would like to learn decimals and percentages.

Reflections- Basic Facts
Reflections-Basic Facts
I am good at writing the words in numbers, arranging the numbers from biggest to smallest, division facts and multiplication facts. I need to work on my place value of six and seven digit numbers and using symbols > = <. I am going to learn them by getting my mum or my Nana to ask me some questions 7 times a week for ½ an hour. To practise on my own I will go on the computer and play some games on using symbols and my place value. Next time when I do my basic facts I will try and get 100%.

Poem about teeth
Tooth came out
Today it happened
hooray hooray
your tooth came out
you're on your way
your growing up
it took a while
but now you have
A brand new smile

All About Me
All About Me
Hi my name is James I am a year 5 student at Glen Innes school and I am 9 years old. At my school I have a great teacher called Mrs Tuakoi. She is a great teacher and I have improved at school so much. I have great friends that support me well. I have 1 brother, 1 step sister, my mum and my nana. They are really kind to me and I really like playing football with my brother sometimes I win and very rarely he wins. I don’t often see my step sister. My favorite sports are football , running and softball but I also like other sports. I love going to Rainbows End and Lazer Tag. Because at Lazer Tag you get to shoot people to tag them and then they can not use their gun for 15 sec. At rainbows end you can go on the fear fall and it falls down really quickly when you do not expect it to. I play football at Glenfield Rovers on the North Shore. I play for the 9th grand sharks A team brazil league, so far we have not lost a game and I have scored 7 goals. I spend A lot of time at my football club, I go there five days a week. Most of my family plays even my nana plays football. When I grow up I want to be a famous football player for Manchester United. I want to be like Van Persie or Wayne Rooney, my favorite football stars. I would also like to be a builder so I could build myself a house. My favorite singer is Jason Derulo, I love his song Trumpets. I love doing all subjects and I love to learn new things. I also like Science experiments because you can make things exploded and sometimes fizz. That is all I can say about me and I hope you learnt a lot about myself now.
