The Best Blogging Movie

We made a movie because we are part of the Manaiakalani  Cluster of schools. Every year each school creates a movie and they are screened at Sylvia Park theatre on the Xtreme Screen. We had a lot of fun making our movie. I really enjoyed using the camera. When I was filmed I was glad I had practised my lines. Our movie was about how to leave a positive blog comment. It is important to learn to leave positive blog comments because it helps us learn to be cybersmart. Cybersmart is learning to create a positive digital footprint We also learn how to get a positive conversation going through the internet.

Fractions

In maths we have been learning our fractions and our teacher put this game on our class site for us to play. In this game I have learnt to write fractions in words, know what a numerator and a denominator is and also equivalent fractions.

A day at the park

One sunny day four kids named Sete , Sanele, Lasalo and James all went to the park. “What should we play?” said Lasalo.  “How about hide and seek,” said James. “Yes,” said Sete. “I’m in,” said James. “OK  1 , 2 ,3....” counting James.

They all ran away but as Sanele ran he tripped, “help,” SHOUTED Sanele. “Should we go and help him,” said Sete. “Yes,” said Lasalo. They ran back to help him but then 24, 25...... NO... he’s almost at thirty. “Ready or not, here I come,” said James. “Quick, hide behind the bushes,” said Sanele.  They all ran behind the bushes.  James was so close to Sanele. Senale tried to climb the tree, “help,” said Senale. Sete and Lasalo pushed Sanele up. “Quick, go higher,” said Sete. “Where are they?” said James. I hope I'm getting closer to them, maybe they're hiding together. When Sete and Lasalo got to the top, “jump” said Sete Three two one they jump, “help, my leg still hurts I can't jump, my leg still hurts” cried Sanele. They jumped back to get him and then jumped back to the other side and climbed down a bit so James couldn't see them but then James climbed up the tree and jumped to the other side then climbed down a little.  James said “I found you, I win”. Let’s go home and have some lunch. “OK ,” said Sete . They walked to James’s house and had some lunch. James’s nana said, “how was it at the park?” “ Great.” answered James, Sete , Sanele and Lasalo.  We were playing hide and seek. “ I found them all, they were up a big tree.” said James. “Sounds fun” said James’s nana. “It was,” said James. But Senale hurt his leg, it might be broken. “Let me have a look,” said James nana. We might have to take him to the hospital. They got to the hospital the doctor said it was broken. James’s nana called Sanele’s parents to come to the hospital.  They weren’t mad at us, they were just happy because Sanele told them it was an accident but we all had fun.

2.  Kim had 67 diamonds. Lasalo stole 19.  How many diamonds does Kim have left?

3. There are 146 apples on the apple tree.  Sixty eight of them fell to the ground. How many apples are still on the tree?

4. A factory made 230 computers on Monday and 145 on Tuesday. How many computers did the factory made on these two days.

5.James had 4 boxes of tarts.  In each box, there were 5 tarts.  How many tarts did James have altogether?

    18 divided by 6 =

6. Sete had 18 lollies.  He shared them between his 6 friends.  How many lollies did each of his friend get?

All about myself

Hi, my name is James I am going to tell you something about me. I have one brother and one stepsister but I do not live with her. I live with my nana, my brother, my aunt and family friend.

My hobby is playing sports. I am very good at sprinting and football and every other sport but my favorite is football. I like to play in midfield or goalie. I have been trying to get into the A grade for this year.  I won’t know if I am in the A grade until the 15th of March. I was in the A grade last year so I am hoping I will still be there.

I go to Glen Innes School because my nana is a teacher there. I have learned a lot because I have a teacher that teaches me lots of exciting things. My favourite subject is Maths and my least favourite is Reading. I always try to do the right thing.

I  love playing cricket with my brother and when I grow up I want to be a builder.
